Your hours only count if your supervisor was eligible to sign them.
ASHA’s rule, not ours: you can’t count hours earned while your CF supervisor doesn’t meet the requirements — and checking is your job, not theirs. It takes about thirty seconds.
The whole requirement, before you log an hour
1,260 hours · 36 weeks minimum · 48-month window
- Segment 1420 hrs · 12 wks
- Segment 2420 hrs · 12 wks
- Segment 3420 hrs · 12 wks
You can work a whole school year and still be short.
Two clocks run at once: 1,260 hours and 36 weeks. Full time at 35 hours they finish together. Part time, fee-for-service, or school-based with unpaid breaks and they come apart badly — well past 36 weeks and still hundreds of hours short.
A spreadsheet sums hours. It does not know that your supervisor has to be eligible on the day you work them, that supervision is owed per supervisor rather than per segment, or that a segment coming up short is not something a later one can make up.
Keep the record once, instead of rebuilding it.
The calculators below tell you where you stand today. The tracker keeps it true for the next eighteen months — including the parts that depend on someone other than you.

One payment, covering your whole fellowship however long it runs. Nothing renews.
What the tracker does that a spreadsheet cannot
- Your record, kept for the whole fellowship
- Hours, segments, and supervisor contact in one place from day one to sign-off, instead of a calculation you redo every few weeks and a spreadsheet you hope you did not break.
- Your supervisor confirms as it happens
- Your CF supervisor gets their own view and confirms supervision while they still remember it. They are the one who enters your final numbers, so the time to agree on them is now.
- Told while there is still time to fix it
- A segment closing with supervision short, skills still unrated, a lapsed CCC, a pace that has slipped — surfaced in week three, not discovered in week twelve when nothing can be done.
- A record you can hand over
- Export a clean summary for ASHA, your supervisor, or an employer, in the shape they actually ask for.
The 1,260-hour calculators stay free and ungated, permanently. They run in your browser, store nothing, and need no account. Paying is for the record that persists across the whole fellowship — and for being told about a problem while it is still fixable.

Is my supervisor eligible?
Active CCC, nine months of practice after it, and two hours of supervision training. Hours earned when they fall short count for nothing.
How much longer have I got?
Most school and early-intervention fellows pass 36 weeks and are still short on hours. This tells you which clock is actually yours.
Where do my segments start and end?
Segments are thirds, not months, and a partial one still owes the full 6+6. Worth knowing before you change jobs.
Is this segment short on supervision?
Two supervisors, or changed jobs mid-segment? The 6 direct and 6 indirect are per supervisor, per segment. This does that maths.
Every requirement on this site is quoted from ASHA’s published standards and linked to its source. If we have something wrong, tell us and we will fix it — being right is the entire product.
